    Default G'day, I'm new.

    Hi everyone,

My name is Molly and I'm new to this forum and to woodcarving.
I did a couple of courses and am just starting my own project, a sign for the front of our house.
I'm having a wonderful time and enjoying the STEEP learning curve.
Sharpening the tools is a massive challenge, but I've been encouraged by some small successes.
I'm looking forward to participating in this terrific and informative forum.

Hope you're all having a good day!

    M.

Hi Molly, wellcome on board. I'm a woodturner, but have the thoughts to learn woodcarving as a nice addition for my woodturnings.
If you can show us your work.
Have fun here in this very nice forum.

    Thankyou Ad and artme,

It's a nice welcome to see some replies so soon.
I'll post a photo when I'm a little further along with my carving, there is not much to see yet.
It's great to be able to talk about wood working with people from all over the planet.
What a wealth of support and information!
Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Hi Molly. Welcome. I mostly do turning now, but branch out into other things a bit. Carved a couple of spoons, for instance. See you round. Looking forward to seeing some of your work. At least being here you've got someone other than the other half to show it to.

    Hi Molly and welcome,
great to have another carver on the forum,

(we,re much cleverer than those pesky woodturners)
did I just type that out loud?

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

    Welcome Molly!
    .
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

    Regards, Woodwould.
