    Default G'day from a newb

    G'day folks,

I'm a newby to the game.
I'm not to be trusted around power tools, but I enjoy the look, smell working with timber and of course the all important finished product.

I thought I'd come here to learn a few things and seek some advice where I could.

    Cheers

    Ant

    Rum pig,

I like to make my own things (not that I'am good at it) I never had a lot of patience but I have become determined.
The biggest issue is not having the correct tools

My grandfather was good at working with timber, it must miss a couple of generations.

I like making knives, I'm going to have a go at making a rifle stock soon too.
I'd love to have a crack at building some furniture.
Turning is a different story, I've never really had a go at it, my brother was talking to a fella the other day regarding joing a local wood turners club here in Newcastle

    Welcome Antz!
    .
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

    Regards, Woodwould.

    Welcome mate

The Hunter Valley is a very nice place - I went there last year and stopped by the woodwork gallery. They have some beautiful pieces in there.
