    Default G'day from Sunshine Coast

    Hi everyone!

    My name is Matt, ex shop fitter and all round hack. I'm currently working in the CSG industry in earthmoving and my wife and I have just purchased our 1st house!

    Went looking at outdoor settings with the wife and we weren't impressed. The only decent ones were well and truly out of the price range I thought was fair judging on the quality.

    So, the plan is. Purchase some tools, purchase some timber and have a crack myself!

    I still have all of my own hand tools, and some of the basic power tools. However will need to purchase a few of the larger tools as they become required.
    Plenty of projects on the 'to do' list

    I am interested in working with native hardwoods and making chunkier style tables etc to suit our new country style house.

    G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Matt".
    You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
    Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
    Also have a look a getting secondhand or recycled timber for your projects; normally cheap for a higher quality.
