Red face g'day from Sunshine Coast, QLD

I'm new carving, really new, I found your, now my, forum too, looking for wood for carving. Have done some woodturning and a little furniture(well beds really) building and design, and just "playing" with wood as my family and friends say. Have moved to new digs, and can't use my lathe or power tools, so for me logically progression is carving (nothing too big like totem poles etc,LOL)and woodburning. Only just starting with both, and trying to find wood/timber supplies, so please help me for somewhere to buy wood, local if possible. I am itching to get started carving and burning, something other than the pine in my woodbox. lol.
Am thrilled to be here and have already learned alot just by surfing these forum pages.
    Thanks
    birdlife62/Cathy

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Cathy".
We have quite a few from the Sunshine Coast area.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.
    Cheers crowie

PS - There's a good woodwork club at Cooroy which may help while you get yourself re-setup.
PLUS, Make sure you say "G'Day" to the volunteers on the Woodwork Forum Stand at the Brissy Wood & Timber Show if you can get down there.....
