Thread: Greetings all!

Hi everyone.

I'm Shannon, new to the forums but a woodworking hobbiest on-and-off since I was a kid. Nothing huge - just small handcrafted items and a little bit of wood-turning mostly.

Been doing more and more woodwork over the last few years, and frankly am bloody loving it.

Am now looking to turn a life-long hobby into an income generating side-gig. I joined Woodworkers forum partially to that end, but mostly just for the joy of talking shop, to hopefully pick up a few tips (jigs, routing and finishing are the current areas of interest) and maybe buy some specialty timber or second hand equipment from time to time.

Currently I'm based in Perth near Vic Park, and am now on the (semi urgent) lookout for a small workshop space (25 to 50 sq/mtr) to use/rent as a base for my side gig.

I've outgrown the available space at my rental and my landlord has just told me I need to relocate all my gear, which is fair enough really -- I live in a crowded surburban area and some of my machinery is a bit on the noisy side. So if you hear or know if any space going in Perth, please reach out and let me know!
