    Default Greetings from Batemans Bay

    G'day,

Just dug my lathe out of hibernation after probably 18 years and now have to learn how to turn all over again. Did a course at Adult Ed years ago but those brain cells have gone long ago so I'll be annoying people with inane questions for a while until I get back into the groove.

Have only got a very basic set up. Old GMC lathe and a few chisels but I'm looking forward to making a big mess in the shed and maybe making something that's allowed into the house.

Welcome Gus. It doesn't matter how big or fancy your tool is, it's how you use it and what you do with it!
Great to hear your getting back on the horse mate. Hope you make many shavings and mess in the shed.
    Cheers!

Welcome aboard. Have you checked to see if there are any turning clubs close by?

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Gus".
There are a few members on the NSW South Coast across in Canberra and around the Southern Highlands with a stack of members in Sydney area plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork......
    Cheers crowie
