    Default Hello

    Hi all

I'm new in here and having almost completed my backyard project of designing and building a 1.8mx3m timber frame greenhouse while stuck at home for the last couple of months, I'm quickly becoming obsessed with all things woodworking.

I'm looking at doing a few more projects and a few DIY jobs around the house that the kids can join me with as they like to build things too.

No doubt I'll end up with a lot more questions as I get into this further.

    Regards
    Hamish

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Hamish".
There are quite a stack members around Melbourne and cross Victoria plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork......
    Cheers crowie

PS - Watch out on the forum for local Melbourne get togethers... great network!

Welcome Hamish. Once you start on the wood projects they seem to get the juices flowing and you want more and more if that is your passion. Some head down the DIY path and others want to specialise in other skills like cabinetary, turning, boxmaking etc. As long as you enjoy what you are doing, it doesn't matter which way you go.

    Welcome.
You are now on a very slippery slope, as you get more confident and proficient, then the 'need this tool's syndrome' attacks you 'so I can do this next project', its a never ending quest and having your children involved will benefit in more ways than you ever imagined.
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers
