    Default Hello form the UK

I'm Andy, I'm 47 and I live 65 miles due south of London on the South Coast. I guess I would say that I'm a wannabe woodworker. I should qualify that as I am a tradesman and mainly fit kitchens and bathrooms with the odd refurb here and there. I do hang doors, fit skirting and architraves and fit wooden worktops but that's about it. My work is good but I'm no chippie or woodworker.

My dream, which I am working towards, is to have a really well equipped workshop where I can try out all sorts of things at my leisure for my use or family and friends. I won't use customers as guinea pigs if I'm stepping too far out of my comfort zone.

For now it's on with the day job with no time to mess around in a workshop. I am currently working on my version of the perfect site workbench in my spare time which will take shape over Xmas if funds allow. That's how I found this forum when I was googling workbenches.

I should also admit to being a bit of a tool nerd with an unhealthy obsession with all things Festool. It applies to all tools really but it's Festool that seems to hit the spot.

    Welcome Andy!
    .
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

    Regards, Woodwould.

    Hi Andy,

Welcome, and just to let you know you're a long way from being the only Brit in the forum.
