Default Hello from the Lockyer Valley

    GDay
I'm new to the forum and hopefully I'll have a lot to contribute
I'm originally from Atlanta Ga where I had my entire basement of a 3 BR house dedicated to a workshop (I was single then)
In '96 I relocated to Sydney Australia for a 2 year contract, I only brought about a footlocker full of hand tools to keep myself sane. After I met my wife we bought a 70's built house west of Sydney which was my “little fixer upper” for 7 years. It was also a legitimate reason to buy new tools. Three years ago we moved to Queensland (near Brisbane) and after about a year bought a 2½ acre block where I build a steel frame kit home on the week ends over about a year, where we live now. We have finally sold the house in Sydney and are about to extend. This will include the master suite that I intend to fit out with heaps of custom goodies.

I have a 7m X 12m shed and I'm allowed to covert half of it into my workshop.

Right now we're still cleaning up from the flood in January, I have two kids under 7yo and a full time gig...so it's been slow going.

My plan is to use the need to post good stuff on the forum as a motivator to get me off my lazy bum.

    Moe

    Welcome to the forum.

A few months back myself and three other members of my Woodworking Club where invited to Gatton for the opening of their Men's Shed.

This was just after the floods, the Mayor was totally supportive and infact a driving force in getting a woodworking group going there because of many varied reasons.

If you have the chance check them out, in the short time I was there it appeared their were some talent laden group members there.

Welcome to the madness, only a footlocker of tools? I take more for a weekend away.
