    Default Hello from Tassie

    Hi Everyone,

Having been a member for around 10 years and gained a lot of very helpful advice from the Forum I thought it was about time I made a contribution.

Although I pursued a different working career I have always been interested in woodwork. Before I retired, and with the help of a friend with a bandsaw mill, I accumulated a reasonable quantity of Celery Top Pine and Blackwood which had been salvaged from clear fell logging operations.

This supply then required the construction of a shed and the purchase of some decent machinery.
This forum has been most helpful, particularly with Dust Extraction, so I will relate the progress over the last 10 years in future posts with a few pictures.

    Thanks again,

    Cheers, OldGrowth.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "OldGrowth",
There are good few members from the Apple Ilse plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork......
    Cheers crowie

Thanks crowie, the forum has been a great help especially in the dust collection area. I have made a start with the shed build in the Sheds forum and will describe how I setup the dust system, which I am very happy with, along with some photos.
