    Default Hi from Canada

I'm from Canada and currently in woodwork 9. The last project I did was this beech and walnut block plane. I got 95% on it.

    Firstly welcome and Good work
Can you tell us a bit more about the plane,
    Like
    - what are the angles of the bed, bevel etc
    - where the blade and wood came from
    - what tools you used in making it.

G'Day & Welcome "to the Great South Land" & to a top forum "TLA".
We have quite a few "canucks" on the forum; all trying to escape the cold..lol...
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie

PS - Very nice plane......keep the photos coming

    TLA

Welcome aboard, that plane you made is very cool. Ive been to canada once back in 2002 I think it was. Cold winters. You should see if you can visit the Great Southern Land down under. Our summer is your winter, good time to visit. Slip a few hints to your parents and see what happens

If you want to meet a few from the forum and some from other places who share a passion for Wood Working you may like to check this out.

    https://www.woodworkforums.com/f25/ww...2014-a-170839/

At this time it looks like we will have a variety of competent woodworkers there with skills in flat work, wood turning, carving and perhaps milling.
Opportunity to spend one on one with some of these and whoever else is there and willing to share there time and expertise.

The invitation for you and whoever comes - bring some tools, bring some wood (these are optional but desired if possible) you can sell, swap, work with it or just watch others.

Mandatory if you come - a smile, willing spirit, desire to have fun learn and enjoy yourself.

Hope to see you there, if cant make it we'll see you round the forum and who knows maybe at some other event

    Take Care
