    Default HI I'm from Capalaba near Brisbane

    Hi, this looks like a good friendly place to join.
    I'm getting into violin construction as a rank beginner.
    I've been studying a couple of books for a couple of years and have made some components as well as tools & moulds, but now looking for more information re carving scrolls and sourcing timber. Also looking for info about thumb planes. I've already made a couple out of timber but got angles & things wrong so need to re-visit that.
    Anyway nice to be here, I can see lots of information already.
