    Default Hi from Picton

I just saw this forum for like the thousandsth time and realised you had a smithy section, so I changed my mind, I'm in.

I am a very keen knife maker and have a little workshop in Picton, which I open regularly to those who like making, or want to start making knives.

Some of you may know me as Niroc on Australian Blade Forums.

Here are some pictures of my work

Hand forged from a bearing case with brass mallee root burl, red fibre and buffalo horn

Ground from A high speed steel hacksaw with Carbon Fiber and red vulcanize fiber handle and nickle silver fittings

Hand Forged from a truck leaf spring with micarta handle and brass corbies

Hand forged from crane lifting cable (cable damascus) with Beefwood and brass

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "corin".
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off more of your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
You do do some very nice work on those knives.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.
    Cheers crowie

I hope to do a bit of contributing, and learning on here. Glad you like my knives, I have a batch of 5 I should be working on now...
