Default Hi Southern River Perth WA

Hi I'm David, I joined a few weeks ago and thought that it was time that I introduced myself. I'm a motor mechanic and I am a bit over working on cars all of the time so I'm looking to getting back into woodworking again especially wood turning. I have a 1952 10ER Shopsmith that my Dad bought brand new and it was passed onto me 11 years ago. In very good usable condition but need a cosmetic upgrade. Recntly over the last 3 weeks I bought an old Tough drill press (floor model) and an older Tough wood lathe to compliment the Shopsmith. The 2 Tough machines are both 3ph I will have to work out what to do about that. I will post some photos later. That is all for now. Cheers David Y

    Welcome David, From Kalbarri, WA.

It is possible to buy converters to change single to three phase for your machines, I know nothing about them, except that they exist.

Hope you can get into some decent turning activity and make lots of saw dust and shavings.
