Ta gentlemen, hmmm there's a can of worms.
Used to live & work at the Cottage Point boatshed circa 1968 with a guy called John Buckingham until he ran over me towing a waterski. Mainly Halvorsen Cruisers but the odd ketch used to come through which was always a priviledge.
Next ten year or so was devoted to study, travel and women not necessarily in that order.
Sticks restoration in the 80's before the yuppy antique dealers sucked the guts out of it. Cut my teeth with Dennis Jahnsenn when he was in Harbord ...very old school. He moved up to Smiths Lake later on, built the shed from hell and started buying trees from up north. We'd mill them with the tractor and a 12' open saw blade. Must swing by to see if he's lost any more fingertips in the spindle moulder.
Have restored the odd victorian terrace or two with a lotta help from my friends.
These days it's strictly musical gear. Probably on my 5 or 600 th piano restoration, dabble in accordians, pipe organs & harmoniums. Favourite project, an old square grand which was restored in a mates shed in Tubingen, Germany.
Thinking of getting into ukes as many of my music colleagues have requested such.
I'm a musician/ music teacher by trade now retired.
AND don't I miss Stimsons of Balmain with a vengeance. cheers ... it's beer oclock.

G'day Ivorytickler and welcome to the madness!!
You've led an interesting life. I have been to Tubingen. I regard it as one of the most beautiful places I have seen. Was lucky enough to be shown around by a friend who was a former resident.
