Ive spent most of my day off today watching Paul Sellers youtube videos on building a workbench. I'm not sure what everyone thinks about him but I personally love the guy. Awesome set of videos just wish I had the space to build and set one up. I am planning on taking over the father in laws garage and setting it up as a man cave workshop just need to tell him! Lol

Dave, looks like a very interesting trip and might speak to the wife about it however we have a weeding we are attending in Queensland at the end of January.

I will have to post some of my shonky renos and a photo of me pulling up the floor as I left a little something under it haha

Looking forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge on this site and possibly meeting up with some locals.
    Cheers
    Nick
Yeah Paul Sellers's great I have learnt heaps from him. Ive gone the hand tool route and find his advice very practical.

When I started I purchased a router and table thinking of then get a table saw. After looking at Jointers, thicknessers, dust collection, space and cost. I decided on hand tools and sold the router. Might pay to have a good look and think about what you want to build and what you want too get out of wood working before committing to too much.
