    Smile Howdy All

    Hello,

My name is Jesse Williams, I reside in Urbana, Ohio where we just got around 13 in of snow!!! I do a lot of scrolling and I'm currently trying to master the bandsaw as from what I read it can be a very useful tool and sometimes the most preferred saw in the shop for cutting bandsaw projects. I have been working with wood for around 6 yrs so no experience yet just a novice. Waiting to put 30 yrs in so I can become a master woodworker .

I love doing custom portraits in wood andusing the computer programs to make them. Countless hours in front of a computer screen and then sitting infront of my bigg yellow 788 cutting out lifelike portraits. I consider my wood working an art not a craft as it is art and not something I just threw together in a couple of seconds. Will never own a CNC machine for wood as I feel it takes away from our art and makes us artist out to look bad. Don't get me wrong as I know there is a place for them but not in my shop. I pride myself on HANDMADE!!!

Love the fourm and cannot wait to make some more freinds from around the world.

    Jesse

    Thumbs up

G'day Jesse and welcome to the retreat.

Your snow and cold sort of balances out our heatwave down south.

    Enjoy yourself here.

Welcome Jesse, there's plenty to entertain and interest you here, but you should post pictures of your work for us to learn from.

    Hi Jesse, welcome.
Good to see another guy who love it to do everything by hand than with machines.
    That's the right spirit.
