    Default Introducing myself

Gooday there. I am new to the forum. My work background is engineering/fabrication and I have a small block of land with timber.

I am keen to build a swing mill on fixed rails (not transportable) 3 phase electric.

Are there any other swing mill builders out there? as I seek and will share lots of information.

Hi MTS and welcome to the forum, I'm sorry I can't help you with your mill but I'm sure you will find someone who can. If they don't appear first up you can start another thread on milling. Enjoy the forum.

Welcome MTS, I am just down the road at Gladstone & am wondering why you want a swing mill, a bandsaw may be easier to make & a pretty useful tool. Keep us posted because when you are successful, there is truckloads of timber out here to be milled.
