Default Another latecomer joins the ranks!

    Hi All,

I am also a latecomer to woodworking (haven't really done anything since school) and anything else was mainly done by people with many years experience - mainly an nice end grain chopping board, and a dressing mirror.
I've just recently moved from Canberra to just outside (Bywong), so I finally have space to actually call a workshop!

I'm in the process of building up the tools and was lucky enough to be gifted a few items to start (Drill press, Trition Work centre) and be a little more self sufficient, not that there's anything wrong with working with friends

I have a couple of friends that are into woodworking, so eventually was going to catch the bug, and am in the process of building a mobile stand that will home the drill press.
So look forward to learning all new tips and tricks and hopefully we able to pass along that knowledge to others (including the kids when they are old enough!)

    Chris

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Chris".....
There are quite a few members in Canberra and around the Southern Highlands with a stack of members in Sydney area plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork......
    Cheers crowie
