Metalworker in the Yarra Ranges.
Hi all. I'm not a woodworker but a metalworker. I hope that does not matter. I used to work on the machines a bit, but am now into industrial automation. I finally got myself a metal lathe, the AL960B from Hare & Forbes. I've already done a search on this forum and have found some good advice. So even though I'm not a woodworker, I hope I can still frequent this forum. All though I am building a chook house and run at the moment, from wood

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "jvb".
There are a heap members from the Melbourne area.
I did my engineering trade in the RAN but find working with timber very rewarding & relaxing.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.

Thanks. I'll leave the mess making to my son. He just finished servicing some friend's bicycles and just leaves all the tools and other bits on the floor when he's finished

But then good tools don't cost a good tradie they earn....
Good luck getting him trained to do the clean up and put away....
