A migrant woodworker
Hello forum,
Very happy to join you.
I am in Sydney from 3 and a half year, originally from Europe.
I have an office job and I spend most of my day sitting in front of a computer monitor crunching numbers, but have always been passionate of manual work.
When in my home country, I had a lot of tools and loved to spend time in my garage fixing stuff, fixing the motorbike, building things, improving home, etc.
Now that I am in Australia, I feel the need to re-start my hobby and have discovered this awesome forum and lot of tutorials and opportunities to build stuff out of wood.
At the moment I live in an apartment and can use the garage for woodworking. Then, hope to upgrade to a house.
I would like to focus on small furniture for the home, toys, and nice things.
But..... first I have to buy most of the tools, because when I moved to Australia I didn't bring everything with me!
Hope to receive useful advice and meet nice friends.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Kuriatko",
There are quite a stack members around Sydney and cross NSW plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie
PS - Post in general if unsure but if you can look at the project and check for te specific subsection...
Like toys in toymaking [sorry that's my passion].
