Smile Newbie with caravan restoration project ahead

    G'day all,
Came across this brilliant forum when I was looking for info on caravan renovation. Just bought a 1974 6 Berth Millard 16 footer caravan (for $1200), and it's in dire need of renovation. Seems like I'll be able to get some handy hints, at the very least.

    Welcome aboard.

Those old girls are as tough as nails. Pop down to the the Trailer/Fabrication section and have a look there too.
Too many projects, so little time, even less money!

    Hi AH and welcome.

Looks like Camec are about to make more money!!!

Restoration of a van does become a labour of love but the satisfaction is worth while.

Any idea of how lone you expect to take?

    Enjoy the project.
    Cheers

I helped a mate renovate a slide on camper a couple of years ago, first thing ,if you have any water stain or rotting inside , strip off the outside sheeting ,replace any rotten wood framing, when replacing the sheeting make sure all joins and seams are well waterproofed. Then tackle the inside. John
