As my old ww teacher used to say,
"if you never made a mistake you never made anything"
"The difference between an apprentice and a master craftsman is the latter is better at hiding his mistakes"
"There's no such thing as a mistake if you treat it as a learning opportunity"
"Wanting to learn how to rescue a mistake is the mark of a good student"
He had dozens of these saying which he would say in a mocking voice but it was really meant to keep us going when disaster struck.

Default Just moved up to a 12" sliding panel saw

If you're keen I have a Triton 2000 you could have. It's done me well for 12 years or so, and has the router table as well. Yow will need a saw for it though...
    PM me if interested...

Welcome to the forum. As you're learning you may be interested in attending a seminar put on by TemplateTom. It'll open your eyes in what can be done with a router. I attended his seminar last Saturday and he's offering another in March. Look in here https://www.woodworkforums.com/f20/challenge-create-project-insert-table-180546

    Default Welcome

    Hi Jerlin,

I have a Festool Kapex SCMS and it is great, so you are starting with best. If you run out of money and/or room in the shed you might think about using the machines at the Perth Wood School. I think it's about $60 per hour.

I would love to have a big table saw, belt sander, spray booth etc. but reality bites (I don't have an infinite supply of money!!) I am not involved with the school but have used the facilities.

Hi Christayl. as posted elsewhere, TEDS are a scam. please don't pollute the forum with links to them.

For anyone else reading this thread - it is SIX YEARS OLD. No point welcoming the original poster here, they are NOT a newbie any longer
