Thumbs up Pony Club desperately need woodworkers

Our little Pony Club in Dry Creek, South Australia has 12 new timber cross country jumps that need to be built. WE have all the wood and fixings and the instructions but absolutely NO idea where to even start putting them together? We really need the help of experienced wood workers who are willing to donate their time with only our undying gratitude and some very happy kids at the end of it! If you can help please email me as the timber is just sitting in our shed looking very sad!

How about contacting a Men's Shed.

    Here are some S.A. sheds.

Any chance of posting the instructions to assist in determining the scope of works.

Regret I am unable to help as I am in Melbourne.

Do you have power available to recharge batteries (and boil a kettle)? A second pair of hands could be useful. See if you can have a working bee.

    Best Wishes.

Fortunately they do not look too difficult to put together as they seem to all be cut and pre drilled. The instructions are fairly poor but some of the photos show that they are pre-assembled prior to flat packing and shipping and provided the joints are numbered or identified it should go together quite smoothly.

It would be a good opportunity for a SA Ubeaut BBQ get together however the need to repaint my house has me committed for some time.

I would recommend contacting a few of the mens sheds listed. Provide your instructions so they know what they are up against. It would be a good little project for a mens shed group especially as most of the hard construction has been done and it will just be a matter of assembly. Perhaps you could offer them a BBQ lunch as a trade for a days working bee.

If a mens shed group shows interest, as a thanks you could perhaps write a letter to their local council or funding body expressing your clubs thanks for the group. You may want to suggest something along these lines when you contact the mens shed.

Thank you for that feedback, I will send more info to the Mens Sheds and hope they come to the party.
