Default Rob says hi mates and a big G'day or howdy from the wilds of Gumdale.

Hello, just thought I'd join the forum and touch base with all the woodworking expertise out there! I am my no means an expert but I have an avid interest in making stuff and have "tooled" up in a modest way. I work full time in IT so my woodworking is limited to weekends and some nights. I suppose like most of you I could be considered time poor when it comes to hobby time.

So far I have banged together a home tool cabinet for my workshop, a Tassie oak book shelf, an English dish rack and a colourful wind whirly gig complete with solar RGB leds for a show at night. My next project will probably be either a walk in pantry and store room for the coming apocalypse. Then provided I'm still here, a set of kitchen benches made with polished wood bench tops. Down the track I am thinking at trying my hand at building a 2 man sailing boat. Also I've always wanted to make a set of medieval doors complete with steel studs and suitable wood carvings.

    Anyway mates, Hi!
