Greetings from Banora Point NSW, I am a 63 year old male forced into early retirement due to ill health, I am one of those that do not sleep very well at night for some reason and I spend my time making wooden toys and puzzels mainly for small children which I donate to the childrens hospitals in Brisbane, apart from keeping me sort of active it gives me a lot of satisfaction, I came upon this site some time ago and apart from idle reading I have used it to gain a lot of knowledge from reading forums on the subjects that interest me, I have all of the tools but like a lot of others need a little guidance from time to time and usually can find the answers here, have fixed up houses etc but the skills required for fine woodworking are entirely different, my main interest is in scrollsawing and painting the items I make, toys, they say something about small things and small minds, from my house I look over the ocean and though it is dark I can see the rain coming, it has blocked out Tweed Heads and now Coolangatta, It will soon be overhead, I think we have had our fair share, will go back to my toys and wish everybody a good evening and look forward to continuing reading and gathering information contained in this site.
