    Smile Woodworking Newbie...

    Hi all.

I'm looking to start doing some wood working at home. I'm a total beginner and aside from year 9 wood work at school yeeaaars ago, the closest I have come to woodwork is cutting wood for the fire.

Recently the veneer started to peel off our coffee table & I just can't see the sense in spending more money at ikea or something similar for another crappy table that will only last 2 years tops. I'd love to make a nice solid table out of something like Jarrah, so when way when I sit on the couch with a beer & I put my feet on the table, I know that a part of the table won't peel or break off.

    Cheers,

    Steve
