Loyalty Points
Your new loyalty points system looks good. One question though, can you buy with a combination of points and money? From a quick look it appears that one point is equivalent to $1

Thanks Mat.
Yes one reward point earned is equivalent to $1 that can be spent. We did it this way to make it easy for people to calculate the value of the rewards and what they can buy with them.
A constraint of the system is that you cannot use both points and $ to buy items. One thing points can also be used for is to pay for shipping if shipping costs are applicable to your order.
We tried to pitch the rewards towards helping customers accessorise up their Festool system a bit. So for any given tool purchased you should get a reasonable number of points to get a useful accessory or some consumables the next time you visit. And for customers who consistently come back for accessories/consumables, there is usually a consumable that can be picked up at the cost of points only.
For further information: See this page IDEAL TOOLS REWARDS.
One other thing to note, reward points all expire at the same date (for the end of Rewards Program 2009, they expire end of Feb 2010). We realise it can be very annoying loosing points because the merchant lets them expire quietly. Don't worry, we will send plenty of reminders via our regular newsletter of the upcoming expiration timeframe, so you don't loose them inadvertently.
