Freight from the USA
I have been looking at purchasing a Makita 1210L saw and have been checking prices waiting for the Melbourne wood show.
At this time Amazon has them for @ $550. us. and with the Aussie $ that very good going.
The problem is that Amazon quote @$500us to freight it here.
Any ideas how to get it here cheaper? ( its @ 26 kgs)

$310USD if you join US Mail Forwarding, International Shipping | MyUS.com Works great and they will consolidate all your orders saving $$ on postage. Helps to buy all those items on amazon that "can't" be shipped ouside of the US

When looking at the US Makita site, I can only find a 1210LX.
The reason that I'm asking is that aren't you blokes using 230 Volt electrical systems? The saw that I found is US spec and uses 115 Volts.

I'm hoping to buy a Festool Domino from USA using MyUS.com (only costs US$780 plus PP), and I have a 110 -240 volt converter thingy. Are there going to be any problems with this?
