MY Boat Trailer Build
Just found this area of teh Web Site, ,So I thought I would throw in my 2Cents worth.
I originally had a folding trailer, for my Boat, however I could not carry the Motor on the Boat as I was not able to support the LEG.
I sold the Folder and built this .
All built from 50x25 x2mm steel and painted with marine enamel, and works a treat,
Steel cost $150.00
axel & springs $299.00
rollers $12.00
Winch $34.00

Hi,
As Bryan said there is a trailer section and Graham is our expert. I would say the mods will move it soon.
While we are here, It looks like you have spent a lot of time and effort on it, and I hope it gives many years of service. I have built a couple of box trailers and know how much work is involved, even though they look simple.
I am just wondering what size boat? and if the 25x50 will be strong enough?
I had a old box trailer once that was made out of the same size steel, but had the sides to help support it as well, and the sides where around 1.6mm from memory. The draw bar on it was 65x35mm though. Also most trailers usually have across bar at either end of the spring to help with any twist.

Looking through the trailer threads I realized I mixed the names up as it is Yonnee who is our trailer expert, and Graham is our welding expert in the welding forum.
Sorry about that.
Anyway thanks for the extra info, that is a light weight boat.
