Brake controllers
Have to install a brake controller in our new (to us) 4WD. Have a Tekonsha Primus IQ in our VZ Commodore and it works well.
Been given a Tekonsha Voyager but space to install this, or the Primus IQ, is limited as the only areas available slope steeply towards the front of the car.
Been looking at a Redarc EBRH which can be mounted at any angle with the only controls, a rotary control switch and an LED, able to be neatly mounted in a suitable spot on the dash.
My question is, has anyone experience with the Redarc brake controller and is it effective?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are companies that make a good product very well, and then try and diversify out into brake controllers and completely mess it up! One of these companies makes top quality towbars, but their controllers are rubbish! This is another case in point. Redarc make a fantastic range of products with their battery management systems and the like, but their brake controllers are nothing short of dangerous. These are not brake proportionate and are simply an 'On-Off' switch with a variable output potentiometer. You will not have any warranty with your trailer brakes with one of these types of controllers fitted.
