Few years back i mad a nice little homemade sheet metal bender from 10mm thick lintils it was about .7m wide now i may be picking up another tinny and im going to mod it

One mod is to make wide gunnels, the pics are my current boat and u can see the gunnels use a flat sheet and a extrusion piece on the inside

I am contemplating making a minimum 2.4 meter wide sheet metal bender to bend a 90 degree bend in 2.5-3mm aluminium sheet, i would like if possible to make a 4 meter wide bender to have a continous gunnel with no joins

But here is the idea 100x100x10mm lintils 2.4m wide possibly 4m wide? A series of holes drilled thru the benders top and bottom lintil and holes going thru the aluminium being bent (holes will later be pluged and levelled smoothly) but im worried about sinking $300 into the bender and the bender twists as im bending the sheet

Getting a shop to bend the sheets for me is an option but unaware of cost to do so

Other mods will be underfloor structure and removing the bench seats hence i need to replace the strength in the new gunnels

Any advice greatly appreciated
