    Close, but no cigar.
    Although Electric is by far the cheapest option, the regulations are that trailers that weigh in excess of 2000Kg GVM are required to have brakes fitted on all wheels, must be able to be controlled from the driver's seat, and must have a break away system that applies the brakes for at least 15 mins in the event that the trailer becomes detached from the tow vehicle. In addition to Electric, kits are available for Vaccum and Air opperated brakes as well.

    This is the closest I've come up with, without just being a BBQ on wheels.

    However, I assume you mean an enclosed trailer to serve from the inside.

    A couple of problems with hiring it out;
    • Appropriate tow vehicles to cart it around.
    • Cleaning when returned.

    that looks a great trailer, but maybe not what Snowyskiesau's friend is looking for.

    Compared to the kitchens in a couple of the local restraunts (I picked ones that were very much rectangular in shape) and thinking in terms of a three or four course meal for 60 or so people, the CFA's trailer is missing
    • an oven
    • a multi burner commercial gas top

    • a dishwasher
    • a sink where the crud is washed off the plates
    • sufficient space for a chef and two or three assistants to work
    • a bigger fridge
    • a freezer
    (the kitchen I'm using as a model is attached to 60 seat restraunt)

    If Snowyskiesau's friend is thinking of catering for a 2-300 person weddings or corporate events, I suggest they are starting to look very seriously at a semi-trailer sized unit
    regards from Alberta, Canada
