    Default Pallet Lift Trailer

    Hello,
I have just obtained a trailer that has a forklift mechanism that allows lifting and carting pellets, see the attached photos.

Does anyone have any information on this sort of trailer, ie where it may have been manufactured? Or have you ever seen one?

    Cheers, Simon

I assume you're talking about lifting bulk pellet bags - this won't work as the 1 tonne bulk bags need to be lifted from the top and on to a solid surface like the tray of a truck. That said, if they happen to be on a wooden pallet like the one at the back of this pic:

You might get away with it, but I'd be concerned about stability.

    Thanks for the replies.
I mean a Pallet with stuff on it, or more likely a 1000 litre IBC/tank.
I am not interested in lifting bulka bags.

I am still interested in where it may have been manufactured, and if they were a commercial item or this is a one-off. The engineering and design is amazing, so it is hard to believe that there was only one made.

    Firstly, welcome aboard.
Secondly, I'm going to edit your title, as it buggers up any searches anyone might do in the future.
And thirdly, you've got me stumped. First I've seen one. I can't imagine it being a commercially produced trailer as I can only imagine what you'd have to charge to make it. I see a rego label. Normally there's detail of the manufacturer on either it or the rego papers. And there should be a V.I.N. plate attached with the manufacturers details, unless the trailer was built before 1987.

I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.

They're a tilt trailer rather than a hydraulically lowering body style.

There was a crowd running arround brisbane with pallet lifting trailers a a while ago.....they specialised in delivering single pallets of stuff.

But the trailers did not look like that one.

they seemed to be a rigid chasis with a mechaicaly driven fork mechanism that then locked with bars under.

I saw a few of the round at one time but not recently, but then again I'm not driving arround as much as I once was.

Like lots of great ideas......not enough people want to pay for one.

    cheers
