    Thanks Goldanfish.
I'll take the credit for your renewed interest in the trailer and giving it a new paint job! Obviously the design has stood the test of time if you built it so long ago. Most of the load weight must be to the rear of the axle, does it sway much?
Thanks for the photos, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Yer thanks for getting me geeeed up to clean it up, it now looks like nearly new !!!
No sway at all . The box size is 1 cub. metre and we have carried full of broken up concrete and full of soil or stone , so thats approx. 1 tonne..
When you load it just make sure weight is forward and then at tip or job site move weight to rear when ready to tip... all works well.

Hope you can get some idea's.

    Cheers.

Any ideas on rear pivot location and hydraulics etc.
    Any help appreciated.
    Cheers.

    Hi there

50x50x3 would work ok for a standard trailer for sure depends on the weight rating you intend to have.
you should check out this tipping idea - pivotpointtipper.com.au you could sit this on top of your trailer
drop me a line if you have any questions

    cheers
