    Default Year 11 Coffee Table

    Hello all,

I'm in year 11 this a year and have basically finished my practical project. It is a coffee table made primarily of red cedar but with a kwila + glass table top and tassy oak inlays. So far I have applied two coats of tung oil (70% tung, 30% orange oil) with 0000 steel wool which has got it silky smooth and now all I need to do is apply 2-3 more coats with a cotton cloth. I haven't got pictures yet but will upload as soon as possible.

I don't have any problems with it ( my tech teacher helped me with a few things) but would just like to show all you my project.

Thanks for all the responses, this is a great forum!

I took a short film with my ipod as I couldn't find my camera. The fluro light made the red cedar look very dull/brown in the video and not really how it actually looks.
    (I hope it works)
