    Default Blackwood entertainment unit

Hi all, this is only my second post, first with pictures(fingers crossed). My lounge is 6.2x4.4 with cathedral ceilings at 4.2 high with exposed mission brown oregon beams(renovating entire house). The missus wanted to buy one of those pine entertainment units, you know the ones, we had a look at some and thought your kidding, for that price I can build one the entire 6.2 length of the wall.
I built the centre unit out of tasmanian blackwood along with panelled doors, the carcass out of melamime and the top out of indian yellow cedar, which i'm not entirelly happy with but I do like the lighter contrast. I also lined the ceiling with plaster 3 days before the new carpet was laid. I'll also attach a picture of my verandah that I built, as I don't have a garage this is where all of the construction took place.

I nearly forgot, the doors and top were coated with 3 coats of cabots gell clear.

    G'day Craw,

Luckily I'm using the Lucas planer blade. 10 little TC blades on a disc do the trick. Just gotta take it slooooowwwww.....
