Default Appropriate door hinges for wardrobe/closet

    Hello,

I'm unsure if this is the right place to post this, but I'd appreciate any help / advice!

We've moved into a new place and it has some wardrobe/closet doors that seem to have some strange hinges. Basically, instead of the hinge being attached to the door frame such that it is perpendicular to the door when closed, it is attached to the surface such that is it parallel to the door when closed. Look at the photos below.

PS. Not sure how to add images on this forum so using imgur. If there's better ways let me know.

As you can see, some hinges are missing and some may need replacement. Having difficulty finding suitable replacements. The problem is that for both of these doors, it's starting to sag a bit and is rubbing against the skirting at the bottom, making a bit of noise (not to mention concerned about long term stability.) Any ideas?

Not exactly what you are looking for but they may have a variation that fits.

These look like a short shank version of standard kitchen type hinges - standard ones "might" fit if there is enougth room to fit the mounting plates?

Look like bog standard kitchen type hinges (only good for up to 19mm thickness) Door is probably inlay type? Yes this matters there is inlay, overlay and 1/2 overlay. In any case - new hinge and mounting plate. All should be able to adjust for fit - If really bad might have to move the mounting plate holes.

    Default Screw holes don't match

Wondering where you are located? I'm guessing Europe? Over here, almost everyone I ask says they've never seen these before. Also, any good link (or explanation) for inlay/overlay or 1/2 overlay?

I also tried out the hinge I suggested above (having now arrived) but unfortunately find that while it fits in the 35mm hole, the screw spacing above and below the 35mm hole is unfortunately not correct, and is not different enough to the original to allow me to simply drill new screw holes. The screw holes on the frame also don't match, but drilling new holes there isn't a problem.

Other than drilling new 35mm holes, is there a way around this problem?

PS. the original hinge has the code 03030.67 behind it. A search shows some other related results but, for what I could see, didn't seem to find a supplier or direct replacement.

Thanks for any help in advance.
