Bandsaw Question
I have had a project kicking around in my head for about ten years. Time to do it or kill it.
Here is a rough sketch showing half of the cabinet.
ZZZ Cabriolet Cabinet (2).jpeg
The plan is to make the front the same shape as the sides.
The trick here is shaping the sides and front. I had it to mind to shape the sides on my Laguna SUV band saw, cutting two 225 mm deep sections at a time and then gluing them together. However, that will require a blade far smaller than the one inch beast that is currently on the saw.
I can get a narrower blade in a flash, but that involves far more TPI, making the blade questionable for such a deep cut.
Before I start experimenting I thought I'd ask the brains trust if I am barking up the wrong tree. I suspect that a narrower blade, cutting a 225 mm deep cut will be difficult to control ... but how difficult? I have never tried deep cuts with anything other than a re-saw/veneering blade and so have zero experience.
Any and all ideas are most welcome. Does this job seen feasible with a band saw, or should I be using a different approach?
I know I could stack a series of pre-cut 50 mm boards and do it that way, but I'm trying to avoid all those joints being visible.

Hot damn!
I love this place. I post a question and in a flash someone who knows what he is talking about answers.
I care not one whit about the feed speed, so long as I can cut that shape through 225 mm of timber.
I'll talk to Henry brothers very soon.
Thanks muchly, Riverbuilder. Your blood is worth bottling.
