    Hi Boys and Girls
Sorry I haven't been back for a few days, I have been flat out and had a case of the dreaded LURGIE which has slowed me down a bit. I should have some more pics today or tomorrow. JillB I will have some photos of the drawers for you.

Thank you for another work in progress.

It is like being a fly in your work shop. Only problem with that is I can annoy people and they might use the fly squatter.

Done! just have to pull it apart, deliver and put back together again. The top and shelf come off so it is possible to get it out of my workshop, into the van and into it's new home. Some of the lighter timber was stained up with a mixture of tea, coffee, a little water based stain. This sort of mixture gives or keeps the recycled timber look, not too perfect, not too anything. Finshed with Wattyl Matt Estapol, recycled white crazed porcelin knobs off the cupboard in my workshop (she wanted recycled!!) The drawer runners are Hettich 45kg ballbearing slides. The drawers are just butt jointed glued with brass screws.

    Very nice indeed.

I am getting the impression that you are making a lot of large items.

I can imagine the guys at the timber yard.

Boss yells at workers, "Get that tree out of here!"
Worker 1 and worker 2 respond, "Sure boss."
    Boss goes away happy.

Worker 1 looks at worker 2 and ask, "What are we going to do with this?"
Worker 2 responds, "Bugger if I know"

At that very moment the answer comes in the form of a Claw.

"G'day" said Claw Hama to worker 1 and 2.

Christos, Saturday a nugget of a figure lugs a 3.4m (200 x 50) piece of recycled spottedgum out of the recycle yard , the owner of the yard unloading a non descript little 2 ton tipper of beaten up harwood says, so your the one buying all our good timber!! aha, yep, thats me!

He has a great piece of 400 square old wharf timber about 3m long complete with barnicle holes I think I will releave him of too. Would make a great seat.

Mal Ward also said there a while back I had bought more timber than many of his larger commercial cusomers. I think Wongo runs in pretty close there somewhere too.

So Christos you are not too far wrong mate.

Good old jig saw down the sides, yes, and then a plunge cut with the thin kerf 160mm circular saw to start the lower cut and then finsh with the jig saw. I have picked up another recycled project today, a 6m long kitchen bench, so back to the recyclers for more timber.
