Ikea is Swedish. Well it started in Sweden but now has a deliberately ambiguous corporate structure for taxation purposes. It may now be headquartered in Netherlands, Liechenstein, Switzerland, Luxemberg, perhaps several.
Biedermeier design was all about the rise of the prosperous middle classes in Central Europe after the Napoleonic traumas and was centerd on Vienna and Austria.
