    Wow.

Great looking installation. Matches the surroundings. I have some 100 year old blackbutt dressed beams from an old factory that I have yet to find a project for. I am now considering something along these lines.

    Well Done.

    The finished project looks great.

I just read through this thread for the first time. An absolutely stunning set of matching pieces Claw Hama. It would take more courage than I have to tackle a job like that.

As I said in one of the threads (not sure if it was this one) Just break it down all big jobs are just made of lots of smaller jobs. Job 1, make the top. Job 2 make the bottom, 3, the end 4, sides etc etc. It's all mind games, trick yourself

i have a similar project to the bishops hearth rolling around in the back of my mind for my house, the bit that i don't know how to do is attach it to the brick work so that the fixings cant be seen, can you shine any light in to this.

Hi BRM, initally the hearth was glued, then loxined to the concrete. The bolt heads were recesed into the hearth then wooden plugs were glued and inserted to cover them. Hope that helps.
