Default Blackbutt Record Player Cabinet with Hideaway Rattan Speaker Doors (build video)

Finished this piece sometime last year... made out of blackbutt veneer ply, blackbutt timber, and rattan - mostly held together with dominos... and filmed the entire build process. Pretty happy with how it turned out and thought some folks might like to see how it all came together.

Aware it's not perfect, but I'm still learning (and mostly it's just a hobby for me)... the acoustic side of the build wasn't a high priority for the friend I built this for - it's mostly being used in a bedroom - and not at great volumes. Have suggested to use some isolation foam or stands under the speakers if he's wanting to get the most of out of it.

The slide out and hideaway doors are a little fiddly - keen to know if anyone has done anything similar how you went about it!

That looks awesome. I would love to do something like that. What sort of Table Saw are you using.

I've been looking for hideaway door hardware but I think I'll steal your idea instead.

Based on the video, he's using a Bosch contractor saw after ripping the sheet material with a track saw.

This is the table saw (no affiliation to Sydney Tools. It was just the first link in the search result):
