Hey Mate, no problem, it took a while when I first moved in to eliminate a few leaks but I have never been stopped by the weather. The timber moves around in the dry and or humid conditions but I have learnt to allow for this (I think)

Thursdays child has far to go. So today was glue up the base, thickness the top slabs and start jointing. The thicknessing was a bit slow as I had to stop after the first two slabs and sharpen the blades. This Blackwood has been very hard on blades, both hand planes and the thicknesser. I usualy have a spare set and just do a quick changover but my spare set was damaged a while back. Not sure when or how but one blade had the end almost torn off. I have ordered another set from carba-slow so still waiting for them.

Fridays child is loving and giving. Hmm anyway today I got the top jointed, glued up, holes filled and the first coat of finish on the legs. This is the heaviest hardest Blackwood I have ever used. I am buggered by the end of the day dragging these slabs up and down to joint them, dowel them and get them glued and clamped up.
Not loong to go now.

As wheelin says , you will have to have some hardware underneath. You've made it traditional.I've just become an optimist . Iv'e made a 25 year plan -oopps I've had a few birthdays - better make that a 20 year plan

Hi Boys, no flooding Ray, have just peddled the contraption to work. Hmm haven't looked into my box of tricks to see whats there yet. And I have to be able to turn this top over yet, bl?*%y heavy this one. May have to call my young Hama's to give me a hand. Lovely figure in this lot Pete, realy excellent Blackwood, just extra heavy and hard.

Top looks sensational. Beautiful blackwood.
She'll be super heavy when it's all assembled.
Will it be delivered in peices? Might be a bit awkward otherwise to get into position.
Lovin' it.
Steven.
