Jim, Have you seen the collection of Chippendale furniture at Nostell Priory; just down the road from Harewood? It's impressive too. Some of Chippendale's first subscribers to his Director and ultimately, his first customers, were Scottish. Dumfries House has a fantastic collection of Chippendale's very early work.

I must have been very young when I saw Nostell Priory. All I remember is an incredible desk.
