My press consists of two panels (doors)? of masonite covered mdf HEAVY that were a $10 auction pickup, curved cauls and clamps....lifting the top panel up, it's always a nervous wait to see whether all has gone well, some glue squeeze thru, the wax paper is necessary to stop it all ending up all glued together

A little bit more cleanup on the edging, a bit of sanding and a roundover and the top's done ready for that magical moment when the finish goes on

The thing that I find striking in these photos is the well organized shed. That just means that my shed is really messy.

Originally I was not sure on the legs as I could not picture this in the final piece but once seeing this together it does makes sense to me.

    Default Finished

    Hi all,
I had started to put the finish on but decided I wasn't happy with a bit of hieght misalignment with some of the veneer joins, didn't feel it /see it/too much of a hurry in the first place, anyway a bit of reworking in an area of the top fixed it, but then I was asking myself.... Is the reworked patch going to look the same as the rest? I was a bit worried I might have to do the whole thing but didn't so all good, on one hand it was a good experiment to see what can be got away with as far as reworking a patch in the finish, I think it came up reasonable

    A few pics....
