Default Coffee Table with Stickley Legs

Just finished a pair of arts and crafts coffee tables. Due to a lack of large enough sections of Oak for the legs I made Stickley legs for the first time. Thought that this would be a better choice than laminating pieces together. Stickley legs are just four pieces lock mitered together it's hard to see in the picture but I hope you get the idea. With Oak this also means that you can use quarter sawn on all the faces. I apologise for the awful photo's.

    Nicely done

Very neat job on the legs. You've set me thinking how to make huge solid legs for bigger pieces without the finished item ending up too heavy to lift !

I like this a lot! wish I had seen this idea when I made my arts and craft recliner and ottoman. I just glued two 32x64s, but i'm not set up for making lock mitres either (no table saw)
