Default DIY pop-up kitchen appliance shelf for mixer

Having priced a commercially available pop-up appliance shelf, and had a fainting spell, I'm trying to find a DIY solution so the very heavy Kenwood mixer can be stored in a base cabinet and popped up when needed with little effort. It's essential that the shelf, when elevated, sits level with the kitchen counter.

I can't find a DIY solution on the 'net so thought i'd ask here in case someone has already solved the problem or can point me to a link.

The closest I came up with was to repurpose the unused serger lift from my sewing cabinet but that lifts straight up necessitating cutting out a section of counter to ride up on top of it. It wouldn't be a neat solution so that's not happening. Instead it needs to lift out and up in an arc.

Any suggestions or links would be very welcome.

Found one on-line. A little over half the price of the locally-available one. Didn't see any DIY articles or videos.

I prefer to buy local but the local offering is made overseas anyway, and massively marked up, so I don't feel guilty. Now to get on with the rest of the kitchen design.

Can you post a link to it? Thanks

Those Kenwoods are super heavy and noisy - nearly need ear muffs. I call ours The Concrete Mixer.

Sorry for the delay in responding but before I could respond I received an email from Amazon saying the purchase was cancelled after the purchase had gone through. After trying to determine the issue with resubmitting of personal info, CC etc, international phone calls at great expense, with no result for two days, I received an email saying that no issue was found with my a/c but that sale had been cancelled, anyway, as there was nothing in my cart.

Today I went through the sale process again and am hoping this time it will not be reversed.

Make sure you go to the US Amazon site. The price there for the particular one I bought was 260.37 AUD (167.39 USD, including shipping and GST.) The price for the same item on the Australian Amazon site is much more expensive, closer to 600.00 AUD. Sorry, I didn't save that exact amount, just got out of the site and went to the US site.

I did save the prices for the first one I tried to buy, the Hardware Resources model for 163.88 USD 270.23 AUD, (the exchange makes the price differ from day to day) without shipping and handling. On the Australian Amazon site it is 651.00 AUD before shipping and handling. That looks like a better quality item but I'd spent so much on phone calls I opted for the less expensive model.

Lee Valley, Canada has one for 84.00 USD. With shipping to Oz and 10% GST it's 179.72 AUD.
There is a warning that brokerage fees and customs duties may apply on delivery. Not knowing what they might total I opted to go with the Amazon offering as the total price included all that.

I'll post the Amazon link when I find it again. Don't want to lose this while I look. Did that once already.Anything I can help with, let me know.

I agree, the Kenwood cast iron older models are rowdy.
