Default Flush drawer pulls - pro and cons

    .
I am making six drawers for tool storage etc to go under my work bench. I want the drawer fronts to be flush or near flush with the front face of the bench so am looking at options for drawer pulls. The drawers will be mounted on drawer slides (probably soft close) and I would like to be able to open them without difficulty.

Yes, I could use push-to-open drawer slides but am leaning toward drawer pulls. There are options including a flush rectangular pull or a flush ring pull like this one Prestige 38mm Brushed Nickel Ring Pull - Bunnings Australia or a round finger pull like this one Delf Trade 30mm Satin Chrome Round Finger Edge Pull - Bunnings Australia . Or perhaps simply use a Forstner bit to cut a part hole at the centre top of the drawer fronts like Derek and others do Bit Cabinet

Any views you have on the pros and cons of flush drawer pulls or other suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Be aware that the 30mm finger edge pull is probably just a push fit so may not work with draws that may be weighty.

The following are more utilitarianbut they are good

both are or should be Bunnings item or very similar, they are (from memory in the section for trailers and 4x4 drawer assembly section usually near the rolls of rubber & foam.

Speaking from experience, I would avoid cutting a part hole as a pull for shed furniture as the hole makes a perfect entrance for smelly little grey creatures that love nesting in things like my buff collection

Push to open slides cost a stupid amount (last time I checked they were, I think, over $110 per set) so I would say you can rule them out.

If you go with a flush pull, go with the four finger one. Single pulls are hard to pull when you're fingers get old and tired.

Because it's a shop I went with drilling half holes in the top of my drawers, simple and can't fail.
