Thread: one of my works is a folding chair

It all started with an idea. I wanted to create a compact folding chair. It should also be as simple as possible during assembly (as much as possible transfer operations to a CNC machine). There should be a soft part - a pillow designed for a foam rubber thickness of 20mm.
I mainly work with 18mm plywood. Here I decided to experiment with 12mm thick plywood.
Created a 3D model. I laid out the parts and ordered CNC cutting.

What have you used for the pivots ?

for rotary connections - furniture screw and Erickson nut with flat heads and hexagon. And the puck.

another “connection”: a furniture screw paired with a T-NUT (FOUR PRONG TEE-NUT) DIN 1624. I did not recess the nut flush with the surface of the part. The protruding part of the nut acts as a washer.
The nut and screw are inserted into the same part. The protruding part of the screw slides along a groove in the second part. The groove is slightly wider than the diameter of the screw. He's just a guide
